Native food trail to showcase Yugambeh language and traditional use

Jabree Ltd has been working on an exciting project with environmental consultancy Naturecall that brings together aspects of Yugambeh language and traditional use of flora and fauna in interpretative signage for a Native Food Trail at Yarrabilba.

Naturecall was engaged by Lend Lease in 2016 to develop a Native Food Trail for one of the northern precincts of the Yarrabilba site.

This walking track will feature interpretative signage for a range of native flora and fauna species which have been developed in consultation with Traditional Owners and Jabree Ltd, the Plunkett Conservation Park and Friends of Plunkett Conservation Group.

This project represents an important opportunity for public engagement and education about an ancient local language and culture, which will be showcased in a readily accessible and contemporary setting.
