As we launch into a new year, we are motivated by all that Jabree and the Gold Coast traditional owner community achieved in 2016.
We continue to work on important cultural heritage conservation and management projects across the Gold Coast region and are in the process of finalising two significant project reports.
Protecting the integrity of both the tangible and intangible aspects of Aboriginal Cultural Heritage remains at the core of Jabree’s undertakings. We also remain committed to increasing community access to employment opportunities.
On the back of some excellent engagement sessions in 2016, Jabree is offering more organisational knowledge building sessions on the Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Act 2003 (Qld), compliance requirements and Jabree’s role.
And with growing demand from community and stakeholders alike, we will also be hosting more of our hands-on cultural workshops showcasing traditional art and tool manufacture in 2017.
Already, it is shaping up to be a busy year! We look forward to sharing it with you.
